Product designer based in London with a demonstrated history stretching across multiple product sectors, focusing on helping individuals and small businesses to get their ideas off the ground.
I grew up in South Yorkshire in the North of England where I took my art foundation course before graduating from The Nottingham Trent University with a First Class BA Honours in Furniture and Product Design.
From here I moved to London to work as an in-house designer and then in 2008 set up as freelance. This allowed me to adopt a more  'generalist' approach to my  design work.

I'm fortunate to have worked on a variety of projects that span from seed of concept through to full production and quality assurance with different clients.  Projects to date have included sportsgear, office design, lighting , RFID products and designs for domestic/public spaces.
Working collaboratively with different manufacturers to meet the needs of a project means I've built up a strong understanding of different methods and processes, especially those within die castings, plastic mouldings, sheet metal fabrications and more recently learning about textile fabrication.
I also hold a teaching post with the Nottingham Trent University where I can apply my knowledge and experience from industry to help product design undergraduates to develop their thought process and build up a reliable skill set before they begin their own pathway through the industry.
